Hilde Haug Simonhjell

Has since 2023 been head of department for the Department for Climate and Food Production in NIBIO. The department carries out studies and assignments on food and climate and has a coordinating function in NIBIO's work in this area. During this period, has led and contributed to projects related to, among other things, climate measures, climate adaptation and climate vulnerability, including assessments of measures, economic effects, barriers, scenarios and projections.     

Has a long background as a manager from the Directorate of Agriculture, and as a senior adviser both in the Norwegian Agriculture Agency and the Norwegian Ministry of Agriculture and Food. Has good expertise in climate measures and instruments, Norwegian agriculture and the value chain for food, the food system, agricultural policy, agricultural policy instruments and their administration.
