Positive results from Norwegian-Vietnamese cooperation on climate smart agriculture

The “ClimaViet” project recently held its final workshop in Hanoi, after three years of cooperation on how to adapt agricultural practices to a changing climate, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
With the support of the financial grant from the Norwegian Embassy, the project has identified and tested climate smart rice farming systems that contribute to improved rice production under increasing impacts of climate change (especially droughts and saline intrusion, which is a big challenge in Vietnam now).
