Wood-based panel production

We produce particleboards and other wood-based composites on a laboratory scale and test different manufacturing conditions and raw materials. We are also working towards novel composites using the concepts of a circular bioeconomy. Our composite laboratory contains:

• Hydraulic laboratory press with pressing plates of 60x60 cm, a max. pressing force of 100 t and a max. temperature of 300 °C. 
• Laser-based particle analyzer (GreCon 3D PARTICLEVIEW) providing  detailed information on geometry, distribution functions and ratios sizes for particle batches. 
• Density profiler (GreCon DAX08) measuring the density distribution in wood materials using X-ray technology. 
• Sieve shaker, glue drum, moisture analyser and other equipment
