Biography
My work in nematology and plant parasitic nematodes includes:
- Surveillance and regulatory support for the quarantine organisms Globodera rostochiensis and G. pallida (PCN), Meloidogyne chitwoodi, and M. fallax
- Research related to nematodes in cereals, potatoes, and carrots
- International work, including participation in the EURL for Plant Parasitic Nematodes and the EPPO Panel on Phytosanitary Measures in Potato
- Dissemination of knowledge and research results

Korncystenematoder er vanlige skadegjørere i korn, som trives spesielt godt der det drives ensidig vekstskifte. Den vanligste arten i Norge er havrecystenematode (Heterodera avenae). Havrecystenematode er påvist i forbindelse med skade i havre, vårhvete, bygg, rug og mais, mens rugcystenematoden i tillegg kan gjøre skade i høstkorn om høsten.
