Biography

My research work focuses on the fate of organic pollutants and pesticides in the environment. My doctoral dissertation (Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic; 2017) deals with degradation in soil as well as uptake in plants and earthworms of some widespread environmental pollutants from sewage sludge. Through my postdoctoral position, I have worked further with method development for analysis of drug residues, as well as emerging contaminants in various matrices such as water, sewage, sediments, fish, etc. I have been involved in several international research projects and I currently work with method development for plant toxins, and analysis of organic pollutants using high-resolution mass spectrometry (Q-Exactive).
