SINOGRAIN II
Scientists from NIBIO and CAAS are working together using innovative technologies in order to improve productivity, food safety and sustainability in Chinese agriculture.
NIBIO is a project driven research institute and collects approximately 400 million NOK annually in project funding from both national and international sources. A lot of activity is carried out through EU and EEA-projects and we also participate in research projects in Asia, Africa and Latin America. NIBIO coordinates several large international projects with a particular focus on food security and climate change. The list of projects is not complete.

The overall aim of the project is to develop strategies grass silage production that reduce enteric methane emissions in ruminants
Robotic mowers can contribute to more sustainable use of resources on golf courses. This project will generate and disseminate knowledge about implications for turf quality, fertilizer requirements, labor, energy use, CO
Human activity simultaneously impacts on the composition of and the interactions between atmosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere. Anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions are the main driver of changes in moisture supplied to and energy available at the land surface. At the same time, land use and land management modify biochemical and biophysical vegetation properties that govern energy and water fluxes between the land surface and the atmosphere.
