NIBIO is a project driven research institute and collects approximately 400 million NOK annually in project funding from both national and international sources. A lot of activity is carried out through EU and EEA-projects and we also participate in research projects in Asia, Africa and Latin America. NIBIO coordinates several large international projects with a particular focus on food security and climate change. The list of projects is not complete.

CircAgric-GHG will unravel mechanisms by which farming systems can enhance circularity whist reducing GHG emissions and provide ecosystem services at multiple scales.

DairyMix. Multi-criteria assessment, decision support and management tools for sustainable circular mixed farming systems for dairy production
A total of 10 research institutions from Europe and Latin America have joint forces to develop a tool for dairy farmers. The overall aim is to increase sustainability and reinforce climate friendly mixed crop and dairy production systems.
