The ProEnv project aims to address the challenge of finding a balance between agricultural production and environmental impact in Europe. It will compare the two different approaches, "land spare" and "land share" and to evaluate them in their ability to achieve this equilibrium.

The project combines theoretical analysis with practical measures to reduce nitrogen losses from manure and use and develop software tools for scenario planning, ultimately aiming to help policymakers maintain rural economies, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and enhance biodiversity while sustaining agricultural productivity.
