Abstract

NIBIO lager årlig en oversikt over maskinelt høstbart og totalt jordbruksareal som kan være ute av drift. I denne rapporten sammenfatter vi data og analyser for perioden 2018 til og med 2024. This report compares mapped agricultural land with the agricultural area listed in applications for agricultural production subsidies between 2018-2024. The study shows that 13 percent of Norway’s agricultural land was apparently not being used for agriculture. The report discusses trends and reasons behind an apparent high level of farmland abandonment.
